KollabMe respects intellectual property rights and expects every member to do the same. Only post beats, samples, audio, images, and other content you created or have the rights to share. We respond to valid copyright notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Report infringement in the app

The fastest way to flag a specific post or beat is in-app: open the post’s menu, tap Report, and choose Copyright / IP. This sends it to our team for review. For a formal takedown, also send a written notice to our Copyright Agent below.

Filing a DMCA takedown notice

To be valid, your written notice must include all of the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. the beat title, the poster’s username, and a link or screenshot).
4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same agent. Include the removed material and where it appeared, your contact information, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake. We may restore the content in 10-14 business days unless the claimant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances, and at our discretion, we will disable or terminate the accounts of members who are the subject of repeated copyright notices, consistent with our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

If your account is terminated, the files you uploaded are kept for days so that a counter-notification or an appeal still has something to restore. After that they are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Media is not deleted while an appeal is open, or if a strike against you has been withdrawn.

Sellers & producers

When you list a beat or sample for license, you represent that you own or have cleared all rights in it (including any samples) and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights. KollabMe is a neutral venue for these listings and is not a party to any license between members.
